5th Business and United Way Come Together
When United Way of Peel Region needed an innovative new campaign, 5th business came to the rescue and developed the “Come Together” concept. The campaign, which appears on billboards, transit buses and in workplaces across the Region, aims to reinforce the charity’s message and importance in the community as it embarks on its annual fundraising drive.
Because United Way brings together people from all parts of the community to focus on social issues and create lasting change, United Way needed a powerful message that would have resonance with both supporters and those who receive assistance through United Way-funded agencies.
With 43% of the Region comprised of immigrants, the “Come Together” campaign features a culturally, age and gender diverse range of people with the headline “Come Together. Right Now.” The core messages of the campaign are to foster community engagement through partnerships and to ensure people are cared for, connected and included. The campaign has been so successful that it continues to be used across the board in a variety of communications, advertising and marketing materials for United Way.
